Teo Poh Siang graduated with a Diploma in Building Maintenance & Management from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in 1982 under a Ngee Ann Kongsi Scholarship. He continued to pursue his academic excellence on a part time basis and graduated further with: Diploma in Marketing Management from Ngee Ann Polytechnic; Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing UK; and Bachelor of Real Estate (Valuation) Honours from the National University of Singapore.

Poh Siang founded Wisely Property Consultants Pte Ltd in 1993 and later Wisely 98 Pte Ltd in 1998.

Poh Siang was conferred the Public Service Medal (PBM) by the President of the Republic of Singapore in 1998 for outstanding community services.

Poh Siang is a key player in professional real estate associations and was the Vice-President of the Association of Property & Facility Managers (APFM). He is currently one of the advisors to MallChina.net, a national association for shopping malls in China.He is consulted as an expert witness to testify in complex strata titled disputes.

Poh Siang also held professional memberships with the American Society of the Heating, Refrigerating and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
