Tremors were felt in Singapore in the evening of Wednesday (12 September 2007) and at about 8.00 am this morning after a strong aftershock of 7.5 magnitude rattled Sumatra island. Many parts of Singapore felt the tremors. In some areas, residents ran out of their flats fearing that the buildings will collapse. The Building & Construction Authority (BCA) sent their engineers to conduct inspections at buildings where tremors were felt. It was reported that more than 240 buildings have been inspected and advised that there is no cause for alarm. For measures against tremors, please visit website at www.wisely98.com.sg
