In less than 2 months, we shall be coming to the end of 2007. Looking back, we will find many first time records: Highest Straits Times Index closing record at 3,875.77 points on 11 October; Most expensive residential property at $5,100 psf recorded for The Marq; Largest enbloc sale at $1.3388 billion recorded for Farrer Court; Most expensive enbloc sale at $2,338 psf ppr recorded for Ardmore Park Condominium. The most bitterly contested enbloc sale belongs to Horizon Towers with most senior counsels appointed, most expensive legal suit for enbloc sale, most Extra-Ordinary General Meetings convened and certainly the most reported enbloc sale of the year and is still reporting. But we also saw a landmark decision made for Water Front View that CPF monies used to pay for the interest of a mortgage loan is not a financial loss. How would 2008 be? Time will tell!
